We've written up every update since 0.20, so you can see what changed and when.
Ant Universe has been changing fast, and our patch notes skipped a few versions. That's fixed: the patch notes page now has an entry for every version from 0.20 onwards, each with the day it came out.
In short: 0.20 brought named ants, overseers and live events; 0.21 cosmetics; 0.22 the beetle trader and colony photos; 0.23 sound and music; 0.24 new art and buildings that grow as they level; 0.30 Nest Siege, castes, outposts, the Supercolony and online play; 0.31 the field-journal look; and 0.32 eight more languages, the Weekly Seeded Sprint, friends and alliances and a big accessibility pass.
